Vision

To reach those who are “unchurched” through the love of God.

Mission

We, at The Love Factor, nurture people “INTO” passionately LOVING God, authentically LOVING others, and genuinely giving the world the LOVE that GOD has given us.

The people of The Love Factor are liberated and lifted in love.

Our History: At a Glance

In prayer, God dealt with Barrington and Sheila Rawls about forming a ministry whose central theme would be “LOVE”. Given their love for God, God knew He could trust them with His people, no matter how broken or downtrodden the individuals are. In July 2004, Barrington and Sheila Rawls began to “press toward the mark” and went forth with what God had pressed in their spirits for some time. They initiated life to what later became The Love Factor (TLF) by having a meeting with approximately ten family and friends with no external financial support.

Even though the life of TLF was conceived in 2004 as Agape Christian Center (ACC), the foundation was laid, and the initial ministry began in 2005 every Saturday in 5 am prayer in the Pastors’ home living room. During early morning prayer, God’s presence was ushered in and brought about change. The evidence was literally visible because God left His mark on the wall (i.e., oil running down the wall). Not only was His presence felt but also families were being restored, marriages were being renewed, people were being birthed out, impartation was taking place, and deliverance was center stage.

Approximately one year later, the Pastors decided to have a special service on Saturday, August 26, 2006, entitled, “Worship Revolution”, to reverence God. This special service was to reiterate the importance of worship and that God was seeking a lifestyle, mindset, and heart condition so that He can transform our hearts.

On Sunday, October 8, 2006, the ministry relocated from the Pastors’ living room to its first physical location, where they held its first official Sunday morning service at the Best Western Hotel in Oxon Hill, Maryland. As the ministry began to grow in membership, the pastors found it necessary to seek larger facilities. On Sunday, July 1, 2007, William Beanes Elementary School in Suitland, Maryland, became the new home for worship. With having a new location, the ministry was able to have bible study to educate people about the unadulterated Word of God. Even though people were being taught and groomed in the things of God, growing pains were encountered causing trials and tribulations to make them stronger. These growing pains afforded opportunities to grace many locations. From 2017 to 2018, the Pastors sought God to reconstruct, renew, and revive the ministry he had given them, which began a transition to take the ministry to the next level. This led to a transformation where everything became new, even the name, because of how the people would be impacted. On Saturday, March 3, 2018, the name of the ministry was changed to The Love Factor.

The Love Factor is a non-denominational church, who is totally dependent on the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Senior Pastor Barrington Rawls

“If you ‘work’ the Word, the Word will ‘work,’ but ONLY if you ‘work’ it.”

Pastor Barrington Rawls
Senior Pastor

In a time where many will not step inside a church, Pastor Barrington Rawls dares to serve those outside the church as the “people’s pastor.” A former hustler, his life displays the transformative power of God and establishes his call to the “unchurched.” A sound ear and voice of reason to many in and out of the church, Pastor Barrington Rawls practically brings the Word of God to everyday life. As a man’s man, he desires to see men function as the leaders God has designed them to be.

Pastor Barrington Rawls gave his life to Christ in 1996 and has served the kingdom ever since. He was first ordained as a Deacon in October 2000 by Another Touch of Glory Ministries in Waldorf, Maryland, while serving under the Apostolic covering at Pure Love Ministries in Clinton, Maryland. In April 2006, he received a Certificate of Ordination/Affirmation as an Ordained Elder in the office of a Pastor from Another Touch of Glory Ministries. Pastor Barrington was reaffirmed in October 2010 under The Cathedral of Covenant Fellowship Ministries and affiliated with Integrity Fellowship of Covenant Churches and Ministries.

As a servant at heart, he walks with immeasurable favor and stands on Proverbs 18:22, “He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the Lord.” He and his “good thing,” Prophet Sheila Rawls, are a ministry team devoted to loving people unconditionally. Pastor Barrington Rawls is a man of faith, demonstrating that if you “work” the Word, the Word will “work,” but ONLY if you “work” it. His life, an open book, continues to display the authentic power of God. Although he is a proud spiritual father, he is also a proud physical father to five [Samarro (Meagan), Brandon, Barrington Jr., Berri, and David] and grandparent to one [Emma]. Pastor Barrington Rawls is the Co-Founder and Senior Pastor of The Love Factor in Suitland, Maryland.
